Anne Africa is a specially trained vertigo and vestibular physiotherapist who has had advanced training in this area. Anne has completed courses such as Advanced BPPV in Queensland, Advanced Vestibular in Melbourne and the Susan Herdman Vestibular Competency Course in Sydney. Furthermore, Anne has recently purchased infrared goggle technology for observing and recording eye movement which has proved particularly useful in the diagnosis and treatment of more complicated cases. She graduated from Latrobe University with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy in 1988 and is also a Credentialed McKenzie Method Physiotherapist with over 35 years of experience in private practice. She has expertise in tailoring treatments to the individual, to specifically address the cause of the presenting condition, so that it can be optimally managed. To help her patients achieve their goal of pain-free living and recreation, Anne uses hands on manual therapy (including mobilization, soft tissue release) combined with specific exercise programs; designed to achieve self-management of the client's problem. Anne is highly skilled in several areas; in particular the treatment of back and neck pain, headache, shoulder and lower limb injuries
